Dearest family and friends,
Leon Letwin, deeply loved husband, friend and comrade; father and grandfather; teacher and scholar; champion of social justice; and person of the highest integrity, died peacefully early this morning, age 85, at Foxdale Village Retirement Community in State College, PA.
We will miss him terribly, but are comforted to know that his soul goes marching on.
A celebration of Leon's life will take place at Foxdale Village in State College on Sunday, July 26, at 2 p.m. A Los Angeles celebration is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 29 (details to follow). Donations in Leon's memory may be made to the Center for Constitutional Rights, Jewish Voice for Peace, Foxdale Village Training and Tuition Reimbursement Fund (benefit staff), or other causes consistent with his beliefs.
